Introducing
Huggins Goes Crazy
A Zentangle®-original tangle pattern deconstructed 4 ways
Huggins is a "high focus" tangle that looks like woven ribbons that have been pinched and pulled to create a gorgeous 3D effect.
This tangle demonstrates "take off and landing", a technique that allows you to create smooth connections between shapes - in this case orb.Â
As a high focus tangle, the repetitive strokes that require a little concentration allow you to reach that quiet and peaceful flow state where magic can happen.

You'll start off learning how to draw the basic Huggins tangle, with a little bit of a twist.
The you'll take Huggins onto a circular Zendala tile and explore some variations.
Finally, Huggins will go completely crazy!
You'll decorate the Huggins tangles using auras and other tangles, including:
- Crescent Moon
- Florz
- Raddox
- Meer
- Avreal

Dr. Sarah Vedeler
As the CEO and founder of Meaning of Life Designs, in beautiful, nerdy fashion, I mash up my PhD in Theoretical Computer Science and career as a Software Engineer with a love of color and design.
Moving across an ocean, becoming a single mother and experiencing the trauma of a child with a major medical emergency all contributed to a desire and a need to discover the real meaning of life.
Searching for ways to stress less, open my heart and nourish my soul has been aided by the fact that since I was a young girl, I've loved creative pursuits.
Whether it was sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, origami, making boxes... and more!

For the last 2 decades, I've been designing quilts, machine embroidery applique designs and quilting in the hoop designs, and teaching thousands of people all over the world.
I discovered my super-power and purpose:
To ignite the fire of creativity in the hearts and souls of people who are hungry to experience the transformative process of creating something beautiful themselves.
Watching people of all skill levels and walks of life grow their skillset and their confidence using my designs has been incredible.
Hearing their stories of healing and transformation as a result of participating in this creative pursuit of quiltmaking has blessed my life in unimaginable ways.
I’ve been featured in Quilting Arts TV, TheQuiltShow.com, 18th Carrefour Europeen du Patchwork, Les Nouvelle Patchwork et Creation Textile, McCall’s Quilting, The Quilt Life, Magic Patch, Designs in Machine Embroidery, Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting, and more!
Now as a Certified Zentangle Teacher, as well as igniting the fire of creativity, I'm excited to share this beautiful method that helps people to transform their stress into creativity and their quiet moments into something truly magical.
